Aging rocker David Lee Roth wants you to know that he’s just fine with nuts. He loves nuts. He can take a lot of nuts.
Roth’s disclosure was in response to an earlier report that eating a couple of nuts sent Roth speeding to a Canadian hospital, a trip during which he was pulled over by the police.
Not true, says Roth:
Diamond Dave tells TMZ “I was in Canada only from July first through the fourth for a performance at the Quebec City Summer Festival. I had no encounters or incidents with the police. The only thing I’m allergic to is criticism. — Love, Dave”
It seems Canadian police may have saved faux DLR.
OAKLAND, Ont. — Ontario Provincial Police said Tuesday they saved the life of rock star David Lee Roth in May.
Brant OPP Const. Larry Plummer said Roth was pulled over for erratic driving near the rural town of Oakland, 12 kilometres south of Brantford, but it turned out Roth was “suffering from a medical condition,” possibly a severe allergic reaction.
The two OPP officers called an ambulance and kept Roth calm until paramedics arrived. Apparently, the officers did not realize at first that it was the famous 53-year-old musician.
Sounds like there’s a good reason they “didn’t realize at first that it was the famous 53-year-old musician.” It wasn’t.
