| This single CD release is a solo piano performance by Bill O'Connell in Moscow, Russia April 7, 2011. After The Dust Settled was first recorded on Bill O'Connell's Random Chance Records release Latin Jazz Fantasy and was composed with the then recent attack on the World Trade Center in mind. O'Connell dedicated the performance on this recording to the people who died in the September 11, 2001 World Trade Center events and the January 24, 2011 Moscow airport attack. Andy McDonough of NJ JazzList.com and the Jazz Heritage Society said about this performance: ''Through his music O'Connell has opened his heart and has allowed us to...share the grief and hope.'' |
